I have decided to explore new soil options for the yard to see which soil grass grows best in. In order to be a success the grass grown must be a healthy green color and the soil which grows the tallest. My plan is to grow grass in different soils to see which will grow the best.
Steps to do the plan
-Use common sense
Steps to do the plan
- Fill 12 3 inch pots with soil to the brim, (3 with clay from the backyard, 3 with miracle grow soil, 3 with an organic soil mixture, and 3 with sand)
- Place 50 grass seeds in each pot
- Place the pots outside on the back deck so that they get equal sunlight.
- Water the pots every night, using one watering can evenly on all of the pots. Do not water if an ample amount of rain comes down.
- Continue to water the pots for 3 weeks.
- At the end of the three weeks, record the average height (in centimeters) of the grass in the pots.
